Wheat HalwaA rich dessert, Wheat Halwa is perfect for any occasion or when you just want to have something sweet. Prep Time: 20 mins Serves: 2 Ingredients: Aashirvaad Atta – 2 Cups, Sugar – 1 1/4 Cups, Cashew Nuts – 2 tbsp, Raisins – 1 tbsp, Cardamom Powder –1/2 tsp, Ghee – 1 1/2 Cups Method: In a heated saucepan add one cup of ghee. To this add Aashirvaad Superior MP Atta. Stir with a spoon till the atta and ghee mix well. Add the remaining half a cup of ghee to this mixture. Roast on low heat and keep mixing till the texture is smooth and not crumbly. Now add the sugar along with the water. Continue to stir the mixture on low heat till the colour of the mixture turns from light to a darker shade of brown. Add the cardamom powder followed by cashew nuts and raisins and mix till there are no lumps and the dried fruits are uniformly spread across the halwa. Serve it hot in a bowl and garnish it with some crushed pistachios. |
Bedmi PuriEnjoy a popular North Indian dish! Prep Time: 45 mins Serves: 4 Ingredients: Aashirvaad Atta – 2 cups, Soaked Urad Dal – 1 cup, Aashirvaad Salt – 1 tsp, Jeera – 2 tsp, Green Chillies – 2, Turmeric Powder- ¼ tsp, Red Chilli Powder – 1 tsp, Kasuri Methi – 2 tbsp, Saunf Powder – 1 ½ tsp, Ajwain Seeds – 2 tsp, Oil – ¼ cup + for frying, Water – As needed Method: Take the soaked urad dal, jeera, green chillies in a mixer jar and grind them into a coarse paste, adding a little water. Take the atta in a bowl, add all the spices, salt, ¼ cup oil and the urad dal paste. Adding a little bit of water, make a firm dough. Let the dough rest for about 20 minutes. Make small balls from this dough and roll them into pooris. Heat the oil in a kadai and fry the pooris one by one until they puff up. Serve the pooris hot with chai and aloo sabji. |

Prep Time: 20 mins Serves: 2 Ingredients: Aashirvaad Whole Wheat Atta – 2 cups, Aashirvaad Salt – 1 tsp, Water – 3 cups, Oil – 1 tbsp, Chopped Green Chillies – 2, Chopped Ginger – 1 tbsp, Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tbsp Method: In a bowl add Aashirvaad Whole Wheat Atta, chopped green chillies, chopped ginger, cumin seeds, Aashirvaad Salt to taste, and mix well. Add 1 tbsp oil, 3 cups of water and mix till no lumps remain. Add more water if required and mix. The batter should be in pouring consistency. Heat a non-stick pan. Pour a spoonful of the batter on the pan and make dosas. Cook till crisp and golden on both sides. Serve hot. |
